Well....
After a bunch of off-and-on sicknesses, we seem to be healthy as a family finally. We, or I, have been working more on the basement, and finally had the doors put in. For those of you that want to see the doors, I took pictures of the kids in front of them, for those of you who don't care, the kids are still in the pictures for you.
Eli- Sings the first two lines of Sabotage from the Beastie Boys all the time. Rebecca has it as a ring tone, and Eli quickly learned it. He is speaking very well now, but still has trouble with the "f", "s", and double consonants. I was worried for a while that he would need serious speech therapy. He tells everyone that he and daddy are buddies and does not allow anyone else to be his buddy. He looks more like Danny now than he does Matt, so he is transitioning through everyone but his dad. He also loves the Pirates of the Carribean ringtone from Uncle Danny's phone, and makes him play it non stop. He loves to knock you down just to be able to help you up still. He's a very helpful kid over all. Last entry we wrote about his terrible two attitude, and that is still there. Either we are getting more use to both kids being brats, or they are getting better- I am undecided.
Tierra: Master of the brat stage. Tantrum thrower. Should I sum it up by saying "girl?" Despite her obedience issues, she is still adorable and quite the drama queen.
She loves watching movies. She loves it when we go out to restaurants to eat. She absolutely loves preschool and we have considered using that as a dicipline item, as in grounding her from school. Even though we are going to Disneyland in a few weeks no matter what, we are telling her that she has to earn it. It seems to have helped a little bit, but she still has her moments of complete brattiness. You get the idea. One thing that cracks me up is something she calls "dricks." It is basically "cheers" as in when you clink your glass with another's glass before taking a drink. She calls it "dricks" and there is no changing it.
Rebecca: Recently cut and dyed her hair. We don't have a picture of it or I would stick it in here. There is a small bit of her in a picture I am going to include of my brother Matt acting like a rabbit, so look close and you can see part of Rebecca. She is still training for the upcoming 10K's this summer. She runs three times a week. Not much else is going on in her life. She is a stay at home mom and is excited to go on vacation soon. She bought a new MacBook with our Tax Return, and loves except for the fact that Mac's and Quest wireless routers do not mesh. If anyone has some insight or experience with this issue, she would love a solution. She still has the calling of Primary First Counselor in the ward. She has been in the Primary for about 6 years now.
Chad: Rebecca and I went to the Sara Evans concert in Wendover a few weeks ago. It was my first concert in a lot of years. I am a huge Sara Evans fan. That's all I'll say about that. I had a great trip up to the Northwest. I got to take a tour of a fire boat. I would love it if we had a fire boat in Unified Fire Authority. That would be the best duty. Scuba rescue team, etc. My dream position in the fire service for sure. As for my non-dream position, it's the same. Working the office. We are getting into the busy time when we have to participate in tons of spring and summer events on top of all of our other duties. That equals 60-80 hour weeks for me for the next four or five months. I get paid for the overtime, but it gets to wear on me in hurry.
As for other family happenings- my Cousin Mike got married this past weekend- for those that know him. Rebecca's brother Brett got his mission call to Milan Italy. Everyone is doing well and just getting through each day in their own way.

Yay...a Simons update! It's always so fun to see what you guys have been up to. Your kids are getting big. That Tierra is just a little beauty. She must be about the same age as Gracie the way you describe her. Have fun at Disney. We'll have to have a little reunion/BBQ when the weather is a little warmer.
