Are These Haunted Walls Actually Stretching?

In case any of you were concerned, Disneyland is still there and doing fine. We were skeptical ourselves, so we had to drive down and make sure. Since we spent all that time driving, we stayed for quite a while.

We did our trip a little different this time. We added San Diego, La Jolla beach,
and Sea World to the mix. I hadn't done Sea World since I was a Senior in High School, and the rest of my family had never been. We saw Shamu, we saw the shows, and really had fun. We were there a little too long though, in my opinion. Perhaps it was the anticipation of Disney, I don't know. They had a buy 1 day get 1 day free special, so we went for 2 days.

I am fascinated with marine life, and I don't care who you are, surfing on the back of a killer whale would be awesome, and is awesome to see. The comedy Seal and Seal Lion show was fun too. There was a ride called Journey to Atlantis that Eli was too short for, but he loved standing in the spectator area where you get more soaked than riding the ride. He is in the green shirt to the right.
This is sounding like a travel log, and I don't want it to be.

Let me just highlight some differences and then you can enjoy a few pictures, okay?
The kids had a blast at everything we did. They are pretty well behaved. Haylee does amazingly awesome with the long drives. Eli scared the insides out of Rebecca at the hotel in San Diego when she looked up and saw him straddling the railing on our 3 story high balcony.

After San Diego we went to the Angels vs Yankees baseball game. A relief pitcher for the Yankees singled out Tierra and tossed a ball to her. The same pitcher, Jonathan Albaladejo,
threw for a couple of innings that game. I have been to tons of games, even Bees games, and have never gotten a ball. I am so jealous. Tierra loved it. Eli wanted one so bad as well, but was a good sport when he didn't get one.

Rebecca enjoyed her first MLB game and I think she may be converted to the excitement of being in the various stadiums. This will my help my cause next season when I ask her if I can go to 6 more stadiums.

As for our time in Disney, we loved it. We were finally able to get pictures with the elusive Donald Duck. We still need Daisy as far as the main characters go. I used Haylee as an excuse to get some shots with a couple of the princesses.

Haylee loved Snow White. She must get that from me. I know you all are loving my home made visor, Snow White did too. Or maybe she was just flirting.
So that was our Disneyland trip. We are taking a break now. (GASP) We do not have plans to return until next labor day when Rebecca plans to run the Disneyland half marathon.

The park will miss us. I wish the last picture here would enlarge. If it did you could see the cool Pirates shirts that everyone except me is wearing. Yep, we are that engulfed in Disneyana.

Disney has a half marathon - - - are you kidding me??? Why did I not know this before. I have been trying to find my motivation for a marathon and this may just do it! You don't know how excited I am about this, although that is quite aways away.

Your multiple trips to Disneyland are CRAZY - but fun crazy. I think you are trying to make the rest of us out to be bad parents!

Once again too bad i cant enlarge your pics to see eli's face in the pirates pic. he makes cute faces. Your wife is hot....where'd you get her and how'd you convince her to take a picture with you and your kids.....it reminds me of the show at Sea world where the lady is pretending she is the mom and falls in with the creepy sea creatures...Did you see that show? If you didnt I just ruined it for next time. That baby is cute and I cant decide if she looks more like Rebecca or a Simons.

I just spent 2 hours researching and I think I made it so the pictures are enlargeable now. It works on my computer, please let me know if if they do not work on yours! Thanks. Now I can go to sleep.

I'll give you my two cents worth. I thought the lady at Sea World was for real. I did a little swearing when I saw it happen, but it doesn't take much for me. Glad to see you branching out on your vacations! So did you miss the whole Halloween thing? Go Rebecca on the marathon!

Such a fun vacation!!! We throw in San Diego, and Sea World once in a while to, just to mix it up. I miss the days that we could go all the time. When most of the kids were under three and didn't eat much food. But now that they are all growing up (and eat soooo much) it's too expensive to go that often. We went from 2-3 times a year to once every two. YUCK!
But, Rebecca and I didn't really get to finish our conversation at book club about the marathon. My siblings are still deciding if they are aiming for the 5k or 1/2 marathon at disney in Sept. But I am planning on the 1/2. I think it would be fun to run together Rebecca. I'm also hoping for the SLC 1/2 in April. You should do that one with me as a practice one.

And by the way Chad...Yes I DO have a countdown widget for new moon on my blog!!! :-)

Fun trip. Wanna go again this month and meet us there? We'd welcome some tour guides. Eli's balcony stunt rang a bell with me. When I was three I hung by my knees and swung upside down from the guardrail over the Grand Canyon. My parents packed all of us kids up after that and drove home. My mom was a little too upset to vacation after that.

Glad Eli's safe. The pictures are cute, what a darling little family.
