A Few More Thoughts Take 2

So I just typed a little update and my computer "glitched" and I lost the whole thing. I refuse to allow technology to win, so I am retyping what I had. Hopefully I remember the few thoughts I had. Anyway, one thing I mentioned was a follow up to some questions about the pictures in the last post. The marks on the wall were accidental bleach marks caused by the stuff I used to fill the nail holes. At first I hated that it did that to my walls, but after a while I decided it added to the rustic look.

The next two pictures are pictures I wanted to discuss last week, but forgot to do so. I told the kids to go clean the toy room. Instead of cleaning, they pulled every toy off the shelf and made what they callled a "boat." It was quite the balanced Cornicopia of toys that I had to take a picture of. After admiring their work, I grounded them both for life.
The next is a picture of the boat I took the tour of while visiting Portland. I have other pictures of me on the boat, but this one shows the whole boat. Wouldn't that be the best job as a firefighter to cruise around on a boat all day and when you have a fire you have that huge water cannon to drown everything with. I have got to convince Rebecca to move to the Coast.
Ok, one more picture..this one is a few months old, but is a picture of the kids displaying one of their favorite things in the world... yep, temporary tattoos. Who doesn't like temporary tattoos? Tierra has a pirate ship and Eli has the skull and cross bones. Eli is not stoned in the picture, he just poses funny and is a little under the weather for this picture.
I guess while I am here, I can update a little about our past week. Right after sending the last blog and saying how the kids were healthy, Tierra spent the day Tuesday puking. Eli came down with an ear infection in each ear, and Rebecca was sick later in the week. The kids have had fairly good behavior this week compared to the last few months. Tierra is trying hard to be good for enough days in a row so we can go to Disneyland. She still thinks we can't go again until she behaves for a long period of time. Also, I am tired of the snow this year. It snowed three inches the other day. It melted soon enough, but I am so ready for summer. I apologize to my ski bum friends who never thought they would hear such blasphemy come from my mouth, but it's true. I am looking forward to warm weather and camping and hiking and four-wheeling, and all these other vacation visions I have. I know that they are only wishes, and that very few vacations will be taken and that each day will just be like the rest, full of work and crap, but right now it feels more like the summer vacations like we got in school are coming my way.
That's it, just a quick little update. Don't worry, I am not going to make a habit of writing here each week. So til next time, email us.

I thought the white marks were supposed to be there. That looks like a ship cabin or something. Tierra is a babe, I hate to inform you of that Chad but look out!!!!
Eli does look stoned, are you sure he wasnt hanging out with your brothers earlier that day or something? Eli is a babe too but I know you will be more concerned about your girl, you'll have to ugly her up or something before she starts school.
I'm not sure that boat would convince any woman to move but good try anyway. I like the idea of being far away from the fire you are fighting though.

We are locking Tierra in the basement starting next year. Plus anytime any boys come over, I will be cleaning my guns on teh living room floor to give them the message.

Rebecca, just wanted to let you know I sneek a peek at your family blog sometimes! Chad is hilarious, his sense of humor totally comes thru in his wording. Tierra look JUST like you! and I think i would agree that Eli looks nothing like Chad. Anyway, just wanted to say "HI" and keep the Modbe sales emails coming.
